some know him as a many names i know mark as a king of new thoughts and what we as people should have thought of yrs back!! let all know he is a true rukar of thoughts and wisdom and seen only him think of others b4 him self which to me is to damn rare! head up king GOD is good!!!!

Mark’s Positive Thursday messages are very inspiring and uplifting. He’s got a lot of wisdom to share which can help us all on this journey called life.

LIWI is a movement that has gathered our community in order to honor Educating and Empowering ourselves. This movement has inspired so many brothers and sisters across our city to come together and re-evaluate our self worth, to question our abilities within ourselves and to challenge our community to support and educate one another. I am so proud to be apart of the LIWI movement where education of self is POWER. We as communities need to regain back our POWER in order for us to teach the youth to not only gain knowledge of self but to be able to teach knowledge of self also.

Even when i retreat into my created world of escape. The king never fails to reign a bright light of truth, consciousness and self awareness. It lovingly shakes me out of my man made fantasy and straight into reality. It reminds me that there’s a bigger battle ahead, Being aware and wise to the poisonous ways of the world makes me scream and inevitably i ostracize my self.I don’t want to be called crazy or have people sigh and roll there eyes. But not admitting that the world is sick and in need of my own personal contribution is surrendering my own god given will for much needed change. So for this i give thanks to the king for always keeping me healthy with his words of wisdom and quotes that magically seem so fitting to my current situation in life. I’ve seen Mark’s work for some time and I’m amazed in the growth and talent he’s delivered over the years. Not only is he a positive influence to the community, but he’s an inspiration to many young and upcoming artist. His work is outstanding and I’m proud to have seen his work and know the man behind the pictures.

There is never day that I can forget who I am and honesty be proud of it. Mark inspires me each and every day to challenge the status quo and to open up my mind, heart and spirit to learning more about my race, culture and history. I am black and I live it, wear it proudly.

I have known Mark since high school and even back then, he encouraged and inspired everyone around him to know their past, be bigger than you could ever imagine, and to be positive. Mark’s inspirational movement is not just something he does, it’s who he is. In an environment that is continually negative and where the community constantly needs reminders of how great we are and can become, Mark is a key force to provide the upliftment that is so needed. I met Mark while I was attending College, but not when he was a student but years afterwards. He was invited back speak at the convocation ceremony. He’s a very moving individual and inspires people to “Not be afraid to give up good to go for the great” The World needs more people like this man. Period.

I worked with Mark at CityTV/MuchMusic in the late 90′s. Even back then, I knew that one day he would do something bigger than those around him. Not only is he sweet, humble, and has a great sense of humor, he has more artistic talent than most “artists” I know. I am so proud of what he is achieving for not only himself, but for the greater community as well. Great work Mark.

I met Mark as a young kid coming up in Toronto…he was a coach on my travelling basketball team and was like a older brother to me…I always looked up to him and he was and still is a positive role model to me…He has always been genuine, humble, and always had a positive attitude…I’m not surprised at all to see him doing big things and continuing to make a difference.

A lot of times people limit education to what we learn in school, but it is so much more than that. There is so much to learn outside of the textbooks, such as the lessons we learn from the struggles we go through, the accomplishments of the people in our communities, and just life as a whole. This website not only educates people on what is going on in our communities, but opens our eyes to the lives of the various people among us. After reading many of the profiles on this site, it showed me that we have very strong, confident, “superstars” living among us.
