TORONTO, March 8, 2012 – Toronto based funny man, TRIXX (G98.7 radio personality, Much Music’s Video On Trial and Trixx: Iceman DVD), announces his final show from his live stand-up trilogy at the Jane Mallett Theatre – St Lawrence Centre for the Arts on Saturday, March 17th.
Trixx: The Final Mistrial is the exciting concluding show of the Mistrial Trilogy that centers on debunking rumors and negative misinterpretations; fellow comedians and the general public have had in regards to TRIXX throughout his stand-up career over the years. When TRIXX first emerged onto the North American comedy scene, many misunderstood and perceived him as the type of comedian that thrives off embarrassing others for a laugh. This was a misconception that TRIXX and the The Final Mistrial shows have sought out to debunk over the past three years and have prevailed.
TRIXX: The Final Mistrial show is a look back over the years of TRIXX’s career and digresses about his personal life in regards to family, friends, the industry and the struggles he’s gone through. With a lighthearted, fun undertone to the show, TRIXX speaks to his audience about embracing his role and place within the North American comedy screen. NOW being viewed for comedy rather than controversy and always hitting the stage with big laughs, TRIXX: The Final Mistrial leaves the audience wanting more.
“TRIXX: The Final Mistrial is about showing the world what TRIXX is REALLY all about. I’m here to make people laugh and think – I’m not here to judge them. This was why I decided to call the stand-up trilogy, the Mistrial show. I’m putting myself on trial for everyone to see and from there one they can make their own decision about me,” says TRIXX.
Working along side fellow comedians, Mark Anthony, Cipha Sounds and Dave Merheje. TRIXX: The Final Mistrial will feature acts from Toronto, New York and the U.K. Guaranteed laughs, no subject untouched and uncensored for the masses.
TRIXX: The Final Mistrial show opens on Saturday, March 17th at 8:00pm at the Jane Mallett Theatre (St Lawrence Centre for the Arts).
